The Northern Capital Gateway LLC, which runs Pulkovo Airport, has released its results for the year 2021 in terms of operations. During the period 1 January to 31 December 2021, passenger traffic at Pulkovo Airport totaled 18.1 million passengers, an 8 percent decrease from the previous year.
Pulkovo Airport received 15.5 million passengers on domestic flights in 2019, representing a 28 percent increase over the previous year. Moscow, Sochi, Kaliningrad, Simferopol, Ekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, Arkhangelsk, Kazan, and Murmansk were the most popular domestic destinations in Russia. In all, 2.5 million passengers were served on overseas flights, representing a 66 percent decrease from the previous year.
Antalya, Istanbul, Larnaca, Tashkent, Erevan, Frankfurt am Main, Minsk, Helsinki, Osh, and Urgench were the top overseas destinations, followed by Istanbul, Larnaca, Tashkent, and Erevan.
Aeroflot, S7 Airlines, and Rossiya Airlines were the top Russian airlines in terms of passenger traffic with a combined total of 13.1 million passengers in 2015.
Turkish Airlines, Uzbekistan Airways, Lufthansa, Finnair, and Belavia were among the foreign airlines with the highest amount of passenger traffic in 2017. These airlines transported 395 thousand passengers via Pulkovo International Airport.
