Curacao is a fascinating combination of Europe and the Caribbean and is the place to go if you’re looking for a more off-the-beaten-path and real island experience. It’s an ideal paradise noted for its colorful colonial buildings, isolated beaches (a combination of white and volcanic sand beaches), secret caves, warm waters, good weather, and outstanding diving opportunities. It’s one of the Dutch Caribbean islands located near the coast of Venezuela. The greatest and most attractive locations to visit in Curacao are listed here…
Blue Bay Beach
one of Curacao’s most beautiful locations. Blue Bay Beach is a lovely beach in Curacao that is located northwest of the capital city of Willemstad. Check out the golf courses, the Blue Bay Sculpture Garden, the various eateries, and even the hockey rink in addition to the beach! Also nearby are some excellent diving possibilities. It is situated adjacent to the fishing hamlet of Sint Michiel, which contributes to its allure. There is also plenty of white sand and crystal-clear water to enjoy.
Willemstad
Curaçao’s capital and a fantastic destination to visit. Willemstad, Curacao’s capital, is a must-see for everyone visiting the island. There are many wonderful attractions in the region, including beaches and historic and architecturally significant structures, as well as several casinos.
It is a charming city with a population of around 150,000 people. If you visit the Port of Willemstad, you’ll witness a variety of vessels of all sizes, and don’t forget to take in the beautiful scenery. Don’t miss the Old Town’s charming pastel-colored colonial buildings.
Shete Boka National Park
The waves pounding against the coral rock formations are a sight to behold at this park. The park’s other features, including as limestone bluffs, a natural bridge, a sea turtle conservation area, and a cavern, are all worth seeing. If you come at the appropriate time, you might be able to see sea turtles laying their eggs, which is an experience you won’t soon forget.
If you’re visiting Curacao and want to get away from the beach, Shete Boka Park is a great place to go.
Playa Manzanillo
The beach in Playa Manzanillo has crystal clean water and plenty of white sand. This beach is a must-see for anybody who enjoys wonderful cuisine, gorgeous people, and great music.
Locals and visitors alike enjoy the sea and the beach for sunbathing, while four-wheelers and even zip-lining are available not far from the beach. The beach is a fantastic place to spend the day – or even just a few hours if you have some free time between other tourist attractions.
Cas Abao Beach
This beach is a private beach with gorgeous white sand and crystal-blue sea, and it is located northeast of Curacao. The beach is fee-based, although it is a low-cost entry fee of around $3 per person. Expect others to join you on this beautiful beach, which has become increasingly popular in recent years.
Aside from palm palms, bungalows, and lounge chairs, the beach is surrounded by beautiful hills and mountains, making for a relaxing day at the beach. It’s an excellent way to spend the day in Curacao.
Little Knip Beach
Due to the fact that it is a tiny beach, the Little Knip Beach lives true to its name. Nonetheless, if you like solitude and don’t mind bringing your own food and beverages, this is a spot you won’t want to miss. You can swim, sunbathe, or set up a barbeque grill and prepare some of your own food without having to share the beach with a lot of other people since it is a less-than-crowded beach.
The beach is an excellent choice when you want to get away from the rest of the world for a bit and just spend some time with family or friends.
Playa Jeremi
Beach Jeremi is a quiet beach in the northwestern section of Curacao near the town of Lagun. Because it is a secluded beach with no facilities, it does not offer any of the amenities that some of the other beaches in the region have. As a result, it is recommended that you carry some sandals while visiting the area since the coastline is made up of a mixture of sand and volcanic debris and may get very hot on some days.
However, it is a fantastic location to come when you want to feel as if you have the whole island to yourself, and it is certainly a journey that is worthwhile.
Mambo Beach
one of the most well-known tourist destinations on the island. Despite the fact that you must pay $6 ($3 per person; an extra $3 each beach chair is charged in addition. 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.) per person to access this beach, it is a really spectacular beach. Apart from being beautiful, it also offers everything you need to have a wonderful trip, such as shops, restaurants and places to stop and grab a refreshing drink.
You may take advantage of the exciting nightlife, relax in a soothing spa, and shop till you drop. Mambo Beach offers a wide range of exciting activities, whether you wish to swim, sunbathe, participate in water sports, or just rest.
Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge
This is a must-see destination for anybody who appreciates history and unusual sights. The Swinging Old Lady, as it is affectionately known by the locals, was built as a toll bridge soon after its completion in 1888. There used to be a toll bridge over the river that connected two parts of Willemstad, Curacao’s capital city, and people were permitted to go across the bridge with bare feet without paying the toll when it was a toll bridge.
Today, it is routinely opened to allow oceangoing boats to pass through, and it is 548 feet in length and 32 feet in width. It is also well worth the effort to go to see it!
Recent visitors loved enjoying a meal or a cup of coffee while taking in the sights of boats passing over the open arm of the bridge, particularly at night when it is illuminated. And don’t be concerned if you find yourself on the wrong side of the bridge when it swings open – water taxis will transport you across the harbor at no additional cost. Furthermore, because of its close proximity to the cruise ship port, it is a convenient landmark to check off your must-see list.
Playa Kenepa Grandi
The beach is very popular among the locals. Playa Kenepa is really made up of two separate beaches: the Kenepa Grandi, which is the larger of the two beaches and the Kenepa Chiki, which is the smaller of the two beaches. You can only access to these two beaches by a single road because they are so remote, yet many people, particularly visitors, like the solitude that the area offers.
The beach, which has a lot of white sand and crystal-blue seas, is visible from a vantage point. As a result of the stunning beauty of the beach, many visitors compare it to a postcard, which is probably the highest praise a visitor can pay to a beach!
