During January and September, Ho Chi Minh City had an increase of 12.4% in the number of local travelers and a rise of 1.3% in the number of foreign visitors. The city’s Department of Tourism said that the city had a total of 4.014 million visitors from abroad and 27.353 million local passengers.
According to the Department of Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, the city had a rise in tourism from January to September, with 4.014 million foreign visitors and 27.353 million domestic passengers. These figures represent gains of 12.4% and 1.3%, respectively, over the previous year.
During the first nine months of the year, the city’s tourist services brought in more than VND140 trillion, representing an increase of 11.9% compared to the previous year and achieving 73.9% of its annual income objective.
In order to increase the number of tourists, especially those from other countries, Ho Chi Minh City has established a variety of one-of-a-kind tourism products across Thu Duc City and its many districts. These offerings include waterway tourism, cultural tourism, historical tourism, agricultural tourism, ecological tourism, nighttime tourism, and MICE tourism.
The second river festival, which took place in May, brought attention to the city’s cultural and historical legacy, therefore improving the city’s reputation as a thriving urban center along the river. Furthermore, the annual Ao Dai Festival, which took place in March, presented the city’s tourist and cultural offerings to audiences from all over the world, including those from the United States.
This year, the city intends to attract a total of 190 trillion Vietnamese Dong in income, with the goal of attracting six million tourists from outside countries and 38 million tourists from inside the country.
