Does Uzbekistan allow visa-free entry?
In point of fact, Uzbekistan does not need visas for citizens of 90 different countries to visit the country. Based on the individual’s nationality, the length of time that may be spent in the country can range anywhere from ten days to a whole year. Furthermore, citizens of the United Arab Emirates, as well as some persons who are 55 years of age or older, are excluded from the need of obtaining a visa in order to travel to Uzbekistan. The following is a complete list of the nations that are pertinent to this discussion.
Visa requirements for Uzbekistan?
In general, the procedure of satisfying the conditions for obtaining a visa to enter Uzbekistan is not too complex. The application technique that you choose will determine the materials that are required for the application system. In most cases, you will be required to provide your passport along with copies of it, a number of pictures that are passport-sized, a letter of support for your visa application (particularly for applications submitted to the embassy), and a payment to cover the consular charge. There are three channels via which one may get a visa, and each of these channels has its own unique criteria. Detailed information on each approach is provided in the following paragraphs:
- E-Visa
- Embassy Visa
- Tashkent Airport Visa

After you have finished filling out the application form, you will be notified by email that your application has been received, and you will be required to pay the visa cost. A single-entry visa costs twenty dollars, a double-entry visa costs thirty-five dollars, and a multiple-entry visa costs fifty dollars.
An email confirming the completion of your Uzbekistan electronic visa will be sent to you as it is available. A URL to the site, from which you may obtain the electronic visa in PDF format, will be sent to you by this item. When you check in for your flight, as well as when you enter and exit Uzbekistan, you are required to provide a copy of this electronic visa that you have printed off. During your travels across Uzbekistan, you are required to have a copy of the electronic visa with you at all times. You must bring a paper copy of the e-visa with you at all times; electronic versions of the visa, such as those stored on your cell phone, are not adequate.
You are going to get an email notification in the very improbable case that the electronic visa is not approved. In such a scenario, you may want to consider submitting your application for a visa to enter Uzbekistan at an embassy or consulate instead.

Consular visa applications
There are two phases involved in the process of applying for a tourist visa to enter Uzbekistan via an embassy or consulate:
obtaining visa assistance (authorization from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan) throughout the visa application process
One option is to seek a visa from the Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan; alternatively, one may receive a visa upon arrival at the airport under certain circumstances.
Visa Support/LOI for Uzbekistan
Support for visas is a kind of authorization that allows a tourist to submit an application for a visa to enter Uzbekistan. A letter of invitation (LOI) must be submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on behalf of the tourist by a travel agency that has been granted a license by the State Committee for Tourism Development. Within a period of seven business days, the Ministry will evaluate the paper.
Once this step has been completed, the Ministry will send a telex with its authorization to the embassy or consulate where the tourist intends to submit their visa application. After receiving authorization from the Ministry, the travel agency will then supply the tourist with the telex number that will be required to be provided as a reference when the tourist applies for the visa. It is within the Ministry’s authority to decline to provide visa help without offering an explanation for their decision.
You will be required to receive Visa Support, also known as a Letter of Invitation (LOI), and apply for an Uzbekistan visa at the embassy if you have not identified your nationality on the lists of countries that do not need a visa or that allow for an electronic visa.
As a part of a travel package that you have purchased with us, we would be delighted to provide you assistance with obtaining a visa at no additional cost. Please be aware that in addition to paying the consular costs at the Embassy or Consulate, you will also be required to pay the visa fees as well. These costs may run anywhere from forty dollars $40 to two hundred dollars $200, depending on your citizenship and the length of your period of stay.
Embassy/consulate visas
You will be able to submit an application for your visa at an embassy or consulate after you have received the telex number. At the same time that you are required to pay the consular costs, you will also be required to give your completed visa application form, your passport, your telex number, and one picture that is passport size.
In order to get a tourist visa for Uzbekistan, the official application form may be downloaded at the website evisa.mfa.uz. The Uzbek government’s embassies and consulates all recognize this form as valid documentation.
Visas at the airport
In the event that you are a citizen of a country that does not have an embassy or consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan and/or if you are a foreign national, you will be able to get a visa upon arrival at the airport in Tashkent.
If you are traveling to Uzbekistan through a country that has an embassy but will only be staying there for a short period of time, or if you live in a country that has an embassy but your trip to Uzbekistan is scheduled to take place within the next two months, you do not have enough time to obtain a visa from an embassy or consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
We strongly advise you to apply for an electronic visa rather than a visa upon arrival if you are a citizen of a nation that is qualified to get an electronic visa.
You are required to submit your passport, a return ticket, and the visa cost (in cash) at the visa counter located inside the airport in order to receive a visa directly upon arrival.
In addition, you are need to produce a letter of support for your visa if you are from a country that is not eligible for the electronic visa. As stated above, you are required to submit an application for visa support in advance.
Visa for transiting through Uzbekistan
There is no need to get a visa in order to travel through Uzbekistan for a period of up to five days if you are a citizen of one of the countries mentioned below. In order to be eligible for visa-free transit, you are required to arrive in Uzbekistan and exit from the country using Uzbekistan Airways. Additionally, an airline ticket must be shown upon arrival at the airport.
You are required to submit an application in advance via an embassy or consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to get a transit visa that is valid for three days and seventy-two hours. For the purpose of applying for a tourist visa, you are needed to give, in addition to the regular papers that are requested, a ticket for either an aircraft or a train that indicates the dates of your arrival and departure.
Three full days of employment are required to complete the processing of a transit visa.

Uzbekistan Visa for Childrean & Under-16
If they meet the following criteria, Uzbek people under the age of 16 do not need a visa to visit the country:
are accompanied by a parent or guardian who is in possession of a valid entrance visa to the country of Uzbekistan, and carry a passport or another kind of biometric travel documentation.
It is only possible for the youngster to remain in the country for a maximum of ninety days, but this is restricted to the duration of the visa that his parent or guardian is currently in possession of.
